Check out my personal story here: From Cage Fighter to Yogi- My Holistic Rehab. Well there may not be a simple answer to this question because there are multiple systems involved but you have to understand the concept of the body’s energy system. And what I can say is if you‘re tired all the time, it is usually a combination of things. And before I get into them, even with a diagnosis of “Chronic Fatigue Syndrome” it doesn’t always mean there is a simple solution. I can tell you first hand what I went through, & how I went from near death to bursting with energy and how this lead to the Muscle Release System and the Boost Your Energy Naturally Guide.
And just because you sleep through the night, doesn’t mean you are off the hook! Check out more on Sleep & Apnea Here. The old quality not quantity rule works to a certain extent here but there is a minimum amount of sleep we all usually need and if quality sleep is not met over time, that sleep debt can be a major cause of your premature dozing off. Lets face it- even one night of bad sleep can make you feel like crap!
Picture a straw between two large cinder blocks (bricks). How much water do you think can get through that straw? Well that’s what happens with our blood vessels- they get choked by all the muscle tension in our body depriving us of oxygen and blood flow. The other thing it blocks is literally our energy from flowing. Learn more about the body’s bio-electro-magnetic energy and how it flows throughout the body on our Energy page and the most effective way to remove muscle tension yourself with the Muscle Release System.
Sugar crashes, carb loads, excess calories, foods that are too hard for your system to digest, chemicals and additives like MSG (and their aliases) Check our the Nutrition Page Here. If you need help getting off sugar, the 1st step is to stop buying it, the 2nd step is to make sure it’s not in plain sight. If you need more help- check out my Beat The Sweet Tooth Guide with successful strategies built over 10 years of being a Dietitian and Diabetes Educator.
Sleep Apnea can cause such a huge oxygen debt that its hard to recover during the day with just normal shallow breathing. There are many foods that contribute to sleep apnea including excessive dairy products and some flour products so fixing your diet is key. But fixing your breathing can make a substantial difference in how much oxygen you bring into your lungs. Check out the Breathing Page Here as well as the breathing programs in our Online Store.
So going along with a bad work schedule and inadequate rest, if we drain ourselves over time this depletes our energy stores which is a whole ‘nother story. Check out the Adrenal Fatigue Page & My Personal Struggle with Adrenal Fatigue & Overtraining Syndrome Here.
I know- probably everyone is guilty of this one at one point or another but too much work with too little rest over time will wear you down. This can take time to build back up. Get your time management on and make sure you are productive while having enough time to rest.
This can actually be known as ”Overtraining Syndrome.” But if you have been exerting yourself too much this can actually drain your energy as well leading to adrenal fatigue. My Experience
Some stress can be good- for example if you didn’t have any start time for work you might just not get out of bed and get much done until noon- which is not a bad thing sometimes- but stress can zap the energy right out of us by overstimulating our nerves like a stimulant. So make time for what you love to do daily or weekly (or at least monthly!) and do things that relax you to relieve all that. Yoga, Breathing, meditation & exercise are a few options. Check out the store for more.
It may feel good to buzz around the office like a caffeine high jet or sugar storm but overtime the excessive vasoconstriction of your nerves pulls adrenaline out of storage prematurely leading you into Adrenal Fatigue. Check out the Beat Sugar Cravings Guide on the store as well. And leading into the next factor, what your body really wants is oxygen and more blood flow so by removing muscle tension and with key breathing techniques, you can accomplish this same task without the crash!
